Hi Coaches-
At long last Cowboy Turf Wars is almost upon us!
We have a lot of information to share this year, we are rewriting the book in comparison to our past tourneys, so please look this over and share info with your parents so everyone is on the same page.
1. All coaches need to check in before their first game. Check in will be coaches only in the IPF lobby (the same building as the four UW game fields). If you would like to reserve a check in time you can do so with this link. Sign up for two or three consecutive slots if you have multiple teams to check in. We will allow one coach at a time in the lobby, so if you do not reserve a time you can wait outside and watch for an open slot. You will need the following for check in:
Roster if you have not submitted it through GotSoccer
PDF of your player cards and coach cards
Medical release waivers (the same ones you use for tourney or league play), link here if you need it.
2. All coaches and players must wear the team wristband that will be given to you at check in during the entire tournament. You will need this wristband for entry into the buildings as well as for team checks with the referees prior to each game. Be sure the band is secured around your left wrist and do not remove it until your team is finished with the tourney.
3. Entry to the buildings will be at specific doors for each field. The doors will be well marked, and you can see a map here Entry will be allowed 5-6 minutes before your scheduled game start time. A field marshal will open the door, check your wristbands and let you in at the appropriate time. Please have everyone entering with your team assembled and ready to go in together.
You will also turn in your team health check form when you enter for your first game of the day. Find the form here. You might want to download it, type in the names and print 3 copies to make things more efficient when you fill it out each day.
4. Please exit the building immediately following your game. We need to clear the building before the next teams enter. We have allotted 3-4 minutes for you to exit. There is a specific door assigned for your team to exit from, see the map referenced above.
5. Our spectator policy is the same as we had sent out a couple of weeks ago. We will allow one parent per U8 player (up to a max of 8) into the building, as well as one parent per High School senior. We will have team wristbands at check in for coaches to share with their spectators. Spectators must have these bands to enter, but we are not requiring they be worn as it is likely some players will have multiple family members taking turns coming in to watch and may want to pass the band between those members. All other age groups will be able to watch games via a live stream.
6. We are still working on our game streaming plan, but is seems wise to have a back up in the event there are technical difficulties. We will test our cameras this week. If they do not work as planned, we will allow one spectator for each team to come in to stream the game for your families. We have suggestions for the best way to do this on our website This person will have a wristband for entry and we will not require it to be worn as once again, we anticipate you may want to have different people do each game and will need to pass the wristband between them. We should know on Wednesday when we do our field set up which method we will use (us streaming or each team streaming).
7. For the safety of all, everyone in the buildings must wear a face covering the entire time they are inside. This includes players unless they are age U12 or under and actively on the field of play. U13 and older need to wear face coverings while playing.
8. If you or anyone on your team is sick, please stay home. Social distance whenever possible, and use hand sanitizer frequently.
9. Our website has a ton of useful information. We highly recommend you have your parents take a look. Everything from rules, schedules, COVID protocol, facility maps and this communication can be found there. www.laramiesoccer.org/ctw
We appreciate all of the support you have given us as we navigate unfamiliar territory and are looking forward to hosting you in Laramie!
