Competitive Soccer

many games require travel, some home games

Our Travel program is open to players born 2006-2017. This is our most competitive level program and is open to players with a good grasp of soccer fundamentals. Skills assessments for these teams are held in April or May of each year. Play is in Fall and Spring, more info on time commitments below. All teams are coached by volunteers who are overseen by our Director of Coaching.

United Academy

The LSC United Academy will have teams at U8 (born in 2017), U9 (born in 2016) and U10 (born in 2015) competing in leagues based in Fort Collins, playing against other youth teams around the area. Teams will train two times per week and play games on weekends. The aim of the program is to prepare players for travel soccer by giving them an introduction to competitive soccer outside of an intramural program. All players will follow a soccer specific curriculum throughout the season, which is designed to provide players with all the skills and techniques required to play soccer at a competitive level as they go through the LSC Player Pathway.

In the event play in the Fort Collins league becomes unavailable, the season will be supplemented with other competitive soccer experiences which could include internal small sided games, skill and team camps, drop-in soccer opportunities, and playing other local Wyoming/regional clubs.

There are two seasons for this league, Fall (August-October) and Spring (March-May). Players register for one or both seasons. Some teams may also elect to attend tournaments in Wyoming, Colorado or other states in the region. Fees for tournaments are in addition to league registration fees.

Fees for 2024/2025 are a max maximum of fee $275 per season (plus a one time state registration fee of approximately $38). Discounts for registering for both Fall and Spring during the Fall registration period.

LSC Travel

The LSC Travel program has teams age U11-U14 (born in 2011-2014) competing in leagues based in Colorado, and playing against other youth teams in our region. This group will have the largest travel commitment as far as distance traveled to games, but will also play half of their games at home. Travel teams play in the Colorado Soccer Association Advanced (Centennial) leagues.

In the event play in the Colorado league becomes unavailable, the season will be supplemented with other competitive soccer experiences which could include internal small sided games, skill and team camps, drop-in soccer opportunities, and playing other local Wyoming/regional clubs.

Players in the travel league commit to play two seasons of soccer, both the Fall and Spring season. Travel players usually begin practice with their teams towards the end of July and play together until the first part of November. Most teams continue with some sort of practice schedule through December and participate in the Cowboy Turf Wars tournament. Travel teams will begin practice for the Spring season in mid-February and run through May. If the team chooses to play tournaments in the summer, practices may run longer into the summer. Fees for tournaments are in addition to league registration fees.

The fee for 2023/2024 will be a maximum of $685 for the year (plus a one time state registration fee of approximately $36).

The LSC Travel program U15-U19 (born 2006-2010) also offers an option for High School Girls to play a Fall only league so that they can play High School soccer in the spring. Same information as LSC Travel for U11-U14, just in a Fall only format.

The fee for fall 2023 will be a maximum of $395 for the fall (plus a one time state registration fee of approximately $36).

LSC Travel now offers a program for U14-U19 (born 2006-2011) Boys. This program will play during Fall only for U16 and up. Part of this team will move on to play High School soccer in the spring. This group will participate in a 7v7 league with teams in the region, as well as some friendly games with Scottsbluff and Fort Collins. U14 and U15 players will have an option to continue play in the spring with a Cheyenne team.

The fee for fall 2024 will be $225 (plus a one time state registration fee of approximately $36).

Practice/Developmental Players

The LSC United Practice Player Program offers players U8-U14 (born 2010-2017) the option to train with our technical director, without committing to games requiring travel. Players will benefit from quality coaching and training and get a better sense if they wish to continue playing competitive soccer. Players may be invited to play in optional tournaments with the a team if the coach determines they are ready to participate and there is room on the tournament roster. Players are also invited to participate in our intramural program training/games.

All U8-U14 Practice/Developmental players must be approved by the club DOC prior to registration.

Uniform purchase is not required, but will be needed if the player elects to play in the optional team tournaments.

High School students U15-U19 (born 2006-2010) have an opportunity to attend drop-in style practices with our coaches (often the Laramie High School coaches will lead these sessions). Players registered in the practice program will be considered club members which will make them eligible for ODP and 307 programs, and players in this program will have player cards so they can participate in tournaments and leagues, including Cowboy Turf Wars. Practices are held November until start of the spring high school season each year.

Fees for 2024/2025 are set at $150 per season (Fall and Spring), plus a one time state registration fee of approximately $25. High School one season only, Fall.
